An Airdrop

Airdrops are special chests that contain special Airdrop-exclusive weapons and supplies. An Airdrop takes 5 seconds to open and contains 2 healing items, a grenade of any kind and a Mythic weapon.

Information

Some time after the plane has crossed the whole map and the first gas zone has been set, an Airdrop will be announced by the on screen message "Airdrop is Inbound!". After that, it takes about 15 seconds to land, giving players time to get to it. You can move, shoot, reload, heal, and revive teammates while opening an Airdrop as long as you stay close to it.

• Trident of the Depths
• Thor's Hammer
  • Mythic Grappling Hook (only in 50v50)

Strategy

• Many players will attempt to go for Airdrops, so be cautious when approaching and opening them. If possible, hold a Sniper while in an Airdrop's radius and snipe any players that attempt to open it.
• Another strategy is to use a nearby bush (if possible) to your advantage and hide in it for cover, then ambush players that attempt to take the Airdrop.
